About
Hamesh DAAC is the passion project come to life of EC Caucci. EC (they/them) is a Disabled, queer, Jewish educator, organizer, and advocate. They have significant personal, real world experiences living as Disabled and the professional acumen and experience to navigate systems that are largely unavailable to most marginalized people.
Through being active in educational, disability, and activist communities, EC has an extensive network of community and supports to allow them to collect information and remain informed. Their philosophy of support is that it takes a community to crack the code of how to access systems in America, and that professional and lived experience can be combined to do just that.
People navigating systemic barriers have proven to benefit from a personalized combination of advocacy, peer to peer education, and getting creative about outcomes and options when issues arise. EC’s priority when working with clients is to negotiate a level of support that is most comfortable using a variety of options to move your goals forward. This might look like directly advocating for your needs in higher tension environments, to coaching self-advocacy skills within clients, as well as assistance with researching options for alternative solutions using their extensive professional network. They value helping clients to avoid the need for hiring legal representation if at all possible and have demonstrated a great deal of success in this goal. They also have the ability to refer clients to these types of services with support when required with realistic insight about the legal system. With a belief in equitable access, EC is pleased to offer sliding scale and creative payment options for those who need it.
